Focused on the different wine cultures of Eastern and Central Georgia, we will visit the small producers that are innovating the country out of the monotonous, quota-led industry imposed on Georgia by the Soviet Union.
- The Kakheti region, with its robust and full-bodied red, white and amber wines
- Kartli, the region west and south of Tbilisi. Similar methods to Kakheti, but a cooler climate and different grape varieties
- Imereti, western central Georgia and once an independent Kingdom, wines here tend to be lighter and more similar to Western European wines
Younger travellers may join, but their access to the beverages may be restricted.
To balance the tour, some more relaxed days are included, with the chance to visit the high Caucasus

Digging deeper into the beauty of Georgia, this tour will bring you to the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, with the wealth of natural and cultural beauty that Georgia has to offer.
- Visit wineries of Kakheti, Imereti and Racha, each with its own grapes, styles and epic landscapes.
- Experience Georgia's history, spanning many centuries. Invasions, empires, fragmentation and unity all show their marks. You'll see ancient cities, medieval churches, 19th century glory and Soviet austerity, to modern vibrancy. Through all of this Georgian culture has been incredibly resilient.
- Take in the glorious sights the Caucasus has to offer - huge waterfalls and towering peaks, vast vineyards and beautiful gardens.

Summer tours

Still relatively unknown, tourists in Georgia can at times feel like they’re really exploring a whole new world.
